The most commonly offered product in Slovakia is a standard repayment mortgage, where monthly mortgage payments are fixed and partly cover interest service and partly principal repayment. Mortgages are dealt with on an individual basis with the chosen bank. The interest rates vary with the length of time of repayment and the value borrowed. Mortgages are available in both Slovak Crowns and Euro. There are financial service providers in the UK and Ireland that can also set up a mortgage. They can potentially make the whole process easier and it can be dealt with in the UK/Ireland rather than Slovakia.
